Haha. So i had an amazing lunch date today with a friend that i met this last summer. we got to talking and she asked me why i switched highschools in the middle of grade twelve. It turned out that when i was telling her what all happened to make me switch, i learned A LOT about myself in that 20 minutes. I see how much i have changed from that vulnerable, maniplated person that i used to be. I realized how much better and how much healthier i am now that i have moved on from that part in my life. and while i blame no one for anything that happened because i know we all made mistakes, did and said stuff we shouldnt have, and they learned from the experience, it still affects us all on a day to day basis. i can guarantee it. we all learned from it and moved on, but it has become a part of who we all are now and therefore affects us, maybe not in a negative way, but it still does. I know at least two of us learned how strong we were, how much we can actually handle, and what we are looking for in relationships. so for anyone that was involved in any of that stuff, and you know who you are, im not sorry for what happened, i actually thank you for everything you showed me about myself and about life.

Now i see someone i care about going through almost the same situation, and while i want to scream at them to get away while they still can, and not to let themselves get sucked in and manipulated, i cant do it. i need to let them learn for themselves, and while its hard, its the only thing i can do. be there to pick up the pieces at the end when everything they know falls apart.

This song is how i feel, and i pray that the person i am talking about realizes it and realizes how much pain i am watching them go through hurts me massively everyday. be strong and do what is right even if you dont think you can handle it. dont be manipulated, stand your ground and realize that you are right, and you will always be.
